What are Coach Screws?Heavy-duty fasteners for wood-to-wood/metal-to-wood connections. Their coarse threads ensure strong grip (see image below).
Always Pre-Drill:
- Softwoods.
- When screwing near wood edges.
- For large-diameter coach screws (use bit slightly smaller than shaft diameter).
Optional for Smaller Screws:
- Hardwoods or small sizes may allow direct driving – test on spare material first!
